Want to Donate a Quilt?
If you are interested in donating a quilt to the museum, please look over this checklist, before contacting us. The Virginia Quilt Museum focuses our collecting on quilts made in, or related to, Virginia. We collect quilts from all time periods, and all styles. Quilts are evaluated by the Curator, Executive Director, and Collections Committee before being accessioned into the museum's collections.
If you think your quilt meets the standards laid out in the checklist please fill out and submit this form. Once we have received your submission we will be in touch to let you know when to expect a decision. The Collections Committee meets quarterly. If you do not think that your quilt would work for our collection but you want to donate it to be sold in the shop, please contact the Museum Manager at vqm.volunteer@gmail.com for more information.
