Christine Hager-Braun creates contemporary abstract fiber art from fabric and thread focusing on the themes of resilience, determination, and the importance of our emotional well-being. She is originally from Germany and holds a MS in Biology and a PhD in Biochemistry, both from the University of Regensburg, Germany. In 1999, she moved to the US to pursue a career as scientist in HIV research but became a full-time artist in 2006.

Christine truly believes that any creative person – a painter, a quilter, or a chef – has an artistic voice and that our work will be stronger once we identify it.

In this presentation we will explore the meaning of ‘artistic voice’. Christine will share how her own personal growth influenced her creative process, how it led to authenticity in her life and became the foundation for her own artistic voice. In addition, you will see lots of images of her art quilts.

But this lecture is not really about Christine. She will present ideas for you to create an indispensable foundation in your creative life, propose a series of practical actions for you to take, and offer encouragement for a new mindset to inspire you.

As a result, you will leave with a greater clarity for your steps to move forward and develop YOUR artistic voice.
