This raffle quilt was inspired by a circa 1865 quilt made by Elizabeth Jane Davis Armstrong. Elizabeth made this quilt in Highland County, Virginia. The quilt was donated to the museum in 2000 by Diane Messick. When Elizabeth made this quilt she probably did not call the block or pattern New York Beauty, but that is the most common name for this pattern now. Other names for the pattern are Great Divide and Rocky Mountain.

The drawing will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025. Winner need not be present to win.
