Micropiecing: Quarter Million by Amy Pabst

Amy Pabst is a renowned quilter who grew up in rural West Virginia and is known for her miniature log cabin quilts. This exhibition is a series of her 27 miniature quilts focusing on the traditional pineapple block done on a very small scale. Each quilt features thousands of individual pieces. Amy did not consider the series complete until the total number of pieces reached a quarter of a million. All of her designs were inspired by 1800s era antique quilts, contemporary quilts, and some of her own original designs.
