Leslie Schallock

Leslie Schallock joined the Virginia Quilt Museum in 2026. She brings 10 years of experience working in education designing inclusive learning experiences for Virginia youth. Having grown up in the Smoky Mountains of North Carolina, she followed the Appalachian mountains up to Roanoke College for her BA in English and continued up to Middlebury College's Bread Loaf School of English in Vermont for her MA. She plans to use her background in teaching in the humanities to support VQM programming and help all visitors engage with the quilting arts and the stories they tell.
